Jenman Safari’s luxury lodge Elephant’s Eye is in the heart of a private concession in Hwange National Park.
It consists of 8 tented chalets surrounding an elephant watering hole and offers unobstructed views of the majestic animal’s twilight ventures to take a drink. However, the platforms on which the tents are raised called for a balustrade for safety measures, and it was here that Tensile Cables became a necessity in completing the design concept.
Jenman Safaris needed a balustrade that didn’t obstruct the view, and that matched the luxury finishes of the tent’s interior. Tensile Cables provided slim and elegant Grade 316 cable balustrade systems that surrounded the platforms but allowed guests to continue their water hole viewing.
Despite being in a remote location, goods were effectively transported to Hwange and assembled on site. The only tools needed were a grinder to cut the cable to length, and Tensile Cable’s custom designed hand swaging tool to attach the elegant swage fittings to the cables.
What resulted was a genuine African bush experience delivered in the lap of luxury with breath-taking views of its wildlife.
Tensile Cables has also completed projects in Mozambique, Botswana and Zambia.
